An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 has been recorded on 11 January 2020, 14km from Kishtwar. There is an increased risk of disruption due to hazardous conditions and potential aftershocks.

Workers in a state electrical power department plan to strike in Gujarat State, January 21. There is an increased risk of disruption due to power outages across the region as a possible 40,000 workers go on strike.

A statewide strike organised by truckers has been planned from 15 January 2021. There is an increased risk of travel disruption due to roadblocks by protesters.
INDIA – Air Quality Expected to Deteriorate
Local weather agencies report that air quality is likely to deteriorate and reach the upper end of very poor category to severe category on 15 January. Due to dry north/northwesterly winds blowing over the region, minimum temperatures are likely to remain below normal over most parts of northwest India during next 3-4 days. There is an increased threat to health due to the poor air quality over the coming days.
INDIA – 10,467,431 Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed 11 January 2021
As of 11 January 2021, 10,467,431 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed across India as well as 151,198 associated fatalities. There is an increased risk of disruption due to measures implemented to prevent the further spread of the virus.
